Last week, we were able to be part of significant PV progress while being present to Trina Solar’s webinar on the 16th of July. The company announced that they have launched the long-waited Vertex series module of 2nd generation, which is known to possess power output up to 600W. The team is expecting to adopt mass production at the end of 2020. There are multiple manufacturers involved in this ecological innovation.
The head of Trina Solar’s Product Strategy states to achieve efficiency of more than 21%, which 35% more of what the market currently propose. This is basically unlocking a huge potential for further developing. We can observe three key advantages – a non-destructive cutting, high-density packaging and a multi-busbar technology are only the first tier of the successful formula. Next we’re noting a low voltage and finally a significant value to reduce the costs of the system.
Here’s what Cao Bo, the vice president of the company, said:
“To create a high-quality module product that excels in the market with comprehensive functionalities, we needed to take into account each process across the industry chain, the ultimate goal being to maximize value for customers by improving the power output of the modules and increasing power generation. We are honored that the next-generation Vertex series, built on the basis of a new and forward-looking technology platform, has been recognized by key partners across the photovoltaic industry chain. As one of the members of the 600W+ Photovoltaic Open Innovation Ecological Alliance, Trina Solar is devoted to working with others in the industry to promote the sustainable development of the sector.”
