From 1st of July, Sydney has succeed switching to 100% renewable energy thanks to integrating multiple wind and solar project across New South Wales.
The complete list of green energy consumption will include street lights, depots, sport centers, buildings and even the famous Town Hall of the city.
The deal for purchasing solar and wind power worth around 60 million dollars.

One of the most remarkable solar farms in Shoalhaven, which is in partnership with the Repower initiative is delivering an amazing amount of the benefits across the New South Wales coast. This cooperation has managed to create lots of jobs vacancies on a local level, which helps the renewable industry to grow.
Another interesting project is the 120 MWc solar farm with location next to Wagga Wagga. Of course, we don’t underestimate the Sapphire wind farm in New England with 270 MWc power.

Reducing negative impact is one of the first steps in order to contribute to climate change. The city council got certified as carbon neutral almost 10 years ago, while aiming to extensively reduce pollution by 2030.
This project is supposed to reduce emissions by 20k tonnes per year, while helping the government to save around 500 000 dollars annually.
Finally, it might occur that Sidney’s going to fulfil the goal earlier – by 2024.
Considered to be a remarkable achievement for Sydney, this project directly matches the renewable future of electricity.
